“Your goal should be out of reach, but not out of sight.” This is good advice from Anita DeFrantz. We are now halfway through the year – can you believe it? Time has a way of flying by, and it seems to me that the older I get, the faster it goes. Is it like that for you too?
As a result, I think we need to be more intentional with how we are spending our time – spending our days – because it is so easy for the minutia of everyday life to take over. With that in mind, I want you to consider how you are progressing with the creative goals and other inspirational goals you set at the beginning of the year. Now is a good time to do some reflecting and refining, based on the results that you are achieving. Are you pleased with your progress? Do you need to allocate more time to your creative goals? Do you need to edit a few things out of your life in order to make time for more meaningful pursuits? Could you break down your action steps into even smaller steps in order to create some momentum? Who could you reach out to as an accountability partner? Do you want to share your progress with this community?
Use this halfway point in the year to celebrate the progress that you have made, get reengaged with your goals, set some new targets, and create the small steps that can get you moving again in a direction that lights your creative soul on fire!
